I am 15 years old, 5′9”. I will be going to wedding ceremony next weekend, and need to buy/pick out a shirt and tie to wear. I’d go with a white dress shirt, it will work for lots of other things in the future, especially job interviews. I would just go look for a tie you like that has at least a little black on it to tie it in with your slacks, but preferably with a little color. Stay away from cartoonish or extremely busy designs (step back a little to look at it, some designs almost appear to move from a distance, avoid those). Since it sounds like you’ll only be using it occasionally cheap is fine too as long as it looks nice.
